Applied artificial intelligence
We investigate how language models and AI systems can organise knowledge and support interaction between people and organisations. Experimentation, context and evaluation guide this work.
LiiaLabs
An independent laboratory dedicated to creating original technology. From applied research to developing products of our own.
At LiiaLabs, innovation begins with a question and takes shape through development. We conceive, design and evolve our own solutions, following the journey from the first hypothesis through architecture to real use. This continuity builds technical knowledge and allows each product to improve through what we learn.
Our work brings together applied artificial intelligence, software engineering and experiments at the intersection of hardware and software. The result is a portfolio of products, tools and research with distinct identities, connected by a shared approach to making technology.

Research, technical decisions and the evolution of our portfolio are led by the laboratory itself. Developing technology internally helps us understand its possibilities, recognise its limits and take care of its continued development.
Subscription products and freely usable tools coexist within this strategy. We value authorship and intellectual property while choosing to share resources that can help other developers build.
We investigate how language models and AI systems can organise knowledge and support interaction between people and organisations. Experimentation, context and evaluation guide this work.
We build applications and tools for people working with technology: from consistent interfaces to organising HTTP requests and producing technical documents.
We explore the integration of devices, automation and software, connecting research with the needs of educational, commercial and industrial environments.
We start with the problem, its context and the people who will use the solution.
We investigate possibilities and build prototypes to learn through practice.
We turn what we learn into software and products with a consistent technical foundation.
We follow how solutions are used and improve them with feedback and new knowledge.
Some of our work is also designed to be used beyond the laboratory. Two modules are scheduled for release as freely usable packages in December 2026.
Planned release · December 2026
Turns JSON configurations into Sass and TypeScript variables. A shared foundation for keeping themes, styles and interface settings consistent across frontend projects.
Planned release · December 2026
Integrates LaTeX formula rendering through KaTeX into VitePress documentation. It supports technical and scientific writing, loading mathematical resources conditionally.
Our journey includes connections with the innovation ecosystem of the Federal Institute of São Paulo, Suzano Campus, and the Inova project. Dialogue with academia creates opportunities to exchange knowledge and collaborate on specific initiatives, while preserving the autonomy of the laboratory and its projects.
We publish analyses, develop tools and seek relationships in which each participant brings a concrete proposal. Practical experience informs research; the resulting knowledge returns to our products and the community.
Our ambition is to expand our ability to create and sustain our own technology: mature our products, deepen AI research and explore new software and hardware applications. Investigating our own language-model infrastructure is part of this long-term vision, subject to technical and economic feasibility.
